The Nice Guys is directed by Shane Black, Starring Ryan Gosling, Russel Crowe, Angourie Rice,Margret Qualley, and Matt Bomer is about Holland March (Gosling) a private eye and Jackson Healy (Crowe) a hired enforcer who gets hired to hurt people in 1977 crossing paths due to a common mystery of a girl name Amelia (Qualley) they become unlikely partners to investigate, and find out they are not the only ones looking for her as well. They soon find out that whoever is involved comes out dead.

Positives:

I really liked the chemistry between Gosling and Crowe how there characters are different when handling situations as well as mannerisms, you can get really invested in their stories on things about them, they are really funny together especially when Gosling messes up a couple times. March’s daughter Holly ( Rice) was a really good actress she was more mature than child actors can be seen in movies, she is a young actress that plays well when giving her lines, and she did well playing a daughter who really cares for the life of others, who really loves her dad, she is really smart in the movie than most of the younger characters in the movie, and can be tough when she needs to be. I really liked the soundtrack of the movie, as well as the vibe that can get you to feel that it is in a 70’s setting. The characters provide moments of laughter, as well as a good amount of action that it needs. The plot is unique, and original to me I don’t see a lot of plots like this one.

Negatives:

The girl who played Amelia was a little too overly dramatic than what her scenes could have been presented to me, it came off a little different that what the feel of the movie was at,at the moment but it can be different for others when seeing it. I don’t have any other major/ minor complaints about the movie.

Favorite Scenes:(Spoilers)

+ March and Healy first meeting

+The protest for air scene

+Airport hotel scenes

+John Boy getting caught by Holly

+ Jessica getting thrown out the window

+Holly pouring cold water at Tally

+Auto show scenes

+ Ending to their new agency

Overall I really enjoyed this movie, this is definitely one of my favorites of this year.

I give The Nice Guys an A.
